A light peach kanchi silk saree features woven horizontal zari lines all over the body. The saree is highlighted with parsi gara hand embroidery, a traditional embroidery art inspired by nature and known as painting with a needle for its precise and detailed needlework. The border and pallu feature embroidered birds and roses in shades of golden yellow, off white and lavender tones. A unique fusion of art and craftsmanship on a kanchipuram silk saree which takes about 4 months when 2 or 3 artists work together to complete the art work.
